PDXCUG Meeting - Get Lamp Screening with Jason Scott
Vol. 1, No. 5 - September 9, 2010 - Meeting Highlights
Get Lamp Screening - A Huge Success
The meeting was centered around the screening of the Get Lamp documentary. Special guest Jason Scott showed a crowd-pleasing version of the film and followed-up with a Q&A session.
We recorded the entire event (except the screening itself) and came out with approximately one hour of video where Jason talks a lot about how the film was made, people he talked to, etc. and answered questions from the 45-50 people who were in attendance.
This event was made possible with the cooperation and participation of the following:
- Jason Scott, Director and Creator of Get Lamp
- Backspace and staff
- Ground Kontrol - Retro Arcade
- Earl Evans of Retrobits.com
- Nick Doyle, Event Video
- Attendees from Portland, OR and beyond
- Members of the Portland Commodore Users Group

Getting the C64s Ready at Home
The dining room table at home was littered with Commodore 64 computers, monitors and disk drives in preparation for the September meeting. Needless to say, my wife was glad when it was over!
