PDXCUG Meeting Highlights
Vol. 2, No. 9 - September 8, 2011 - Meeting Highlights
Gaming Compo
Another busy month - this time with the Emergency Chicagoland Commodore Convention (see the ECCC Photos here) - so it will be another captionless month of photos - just a photo stream for you to enjoy.
The main thing we did this month was have a game competition. Ernie brought his amp, mixer and subwoofer and we piped the sound from all of the Commodore computers into it. It sounded like an 80s-style arcade in here! Here are the games we had lined up:
- Lode Runner - whoever had the highest score with just one life.
- Master of the Lamps - whoever could go the furthest on a hard level with an eraser on their head.
- Star League Baseball - two innings
- Centipede (didn't have time to play)
- Jumpman (didn't have time to play)
- Spy vs. Spy (didn't have time to play)
- Frogger (didn't have time to play)
- Blue Max (not for the compo)
- Choplifter (not for the compo)
Other noteworthy items:
- Richard repaired a Commodore 128
- Gordon showed off his club's new site design (the Seattle Retro Computing Society)
- Ryan and Gordon brought some yummy cake
- Richard showed us a program he made for calculating engine displacement
- Chatted with remote members via CommodoreServer chat rooms
